We are here to help you with all your health care needs.&nbsp; It is essential that you register with a General Practitioner (GP) as soon as you start University to enable you to access NHS healthcare.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">In order to maximise safety during the <strong>COVID-19<\/strong> pandemic, this year the practice is:<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Pre-registering students<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Recording current COVID vaccination status prior to their arrival on campus<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Running a series of Pop-up vaccination clinics on campus<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>This way, we can ensure, prior to embarking on this academic year, that all students have the fullest protection against the virus, to help keep the LSE a safe place to study.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In this fast-moving situation, our well-informed practice team will be happy to answer any questions regarding current vaccination status, and any further vaccinations needed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We highly recommend all students obtain a <strong>UK Mobile number<\/strong> for their phone; this will enable us to send important invitations, information, updates via SMS\/text messaging and also enable video consultations via phone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We also strongly advise all students to check our website regularly, for updates regarding Pop-up vaccine clinics<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-buttons is-layout-flex wp-block-buttons-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-button has-custom-width wp-block-button__width-100\"><a class=\"wp-block-button__link wp-element-button\" href=\"https:\/\/www.stphilipsmedicalcentre.nhs.uk\/about-us\/registering-with-the-practice\/new-patient-registration-form\/\">CLICK HERE TO REGISTER<\/a><\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-1 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\" style=\"flex-basis:10%\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\" style=\"flex-basis:90%\">\n<ul>\n<li><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-nhs-blue-color\"><strong> It is free to register with the practice.<\/strong><\/mark><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-nhs-blue-color\"><strong>St Philips Medical Centre is on-campus.<\/strong><\/mark><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-nhs-blue-color\"><strong>We offer a variety of appointments including telephone, video and face to face.<\/strong><\/mark><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-nhs-blue-color\"><strong>All our clinicians have lots of experience with student health care.<\/strong><\/mark><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-nhs-blue-color\"><strong>We have good relationships with the University Disability and Wellbeing Services<\/strong>.<\/mark><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>GPs treat all common medical conditions and refer patients to hospitals and other medical services for urgent and routine specialist treatment when needed.&nbsp; <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>GPs are usually the first point of contact for anyone with a physical or mental health problem.&nbsp; GPs work as part of a large team including Nurses, Clinical Pharmacists, Physicians Associates, Nursing Associates, Health Care Assistants, and Social Prescribers.&nbsp; <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Along with other members of the practice team, they focus on the health of the whole person managing physical, psychological, and social aspects of care.&nbsp; GPs also have an important role in preventative medicine and health promotion and we offer immunisations, smoking cessation support, lifestyle advice, and cervical cancer screening.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Your health is important to us and should be a priority during your time at LSE.
